Freeview is the free digital
service that currently provides up to 40 digital channels,
over 20 digital radio stations and interactive services. It
is broadcast from a transmitter and you receive it through
your aerial.
Freeview works like traditional TV, but because the signals
are digital you need a set-top box or digital TV to watch
them. This means you can get more channels with extra features
such as interactive TV and wide screen pictures.
Interactive services offer enhanced features over and above
the normal viewing experience, where available they can be
accessed through the coloured buttons on the remote control.
